LXDE - Close windows with middle click (mouse wheel)

It is like closing tabs on the browser, but windows on the OS.

I had some issues getting it to work, which I describe below.

I followed the instructions on

and
https://sourceforge.net/p/lxde/mailman/message/32706194/

However the location of the file to be modified differs in my implementation (LXDE - Sparkylinux 4.3 - lxpanel 0.8.2)

The file is in /tmp/lxpanel-0.8.2/pluginslaunchtaskbar.c

instead of /tmp/lxpanel-0.8.2/src/plugins/taskbar.c

I edited the file manually, applied the other commands and restarted the panel with

# lxpanelctl restart


Works perfectly.
