Keston Celsius 25 doesn't light up

I have resolved the problem myself. Hope this helps others.
[I would prefer to post this on one of the relevant forums, but don't feel like creating an account just for that]

Keston Celsius 25, gas boiler.

PROBLEM
Does not produce heat/hot water.

SYMPTOMS
The 1st light is green (1Hz), so the electricity is coming in normally.

The flame does not light up. The 2nd light on the control does not even attempt to light up.

The other lights show nothing (no blockage/shutdown).

So in summary, only the 1st light is on, at any stage.

I could hear some electrical noises on the bottom of the boiler.

CAUSE
No clue.

SOLUTION (for my case)
This is what I did. I am not aware if it is the best procedure. I didn't find any solution, so I just used my imagination.

Switch off the mains switch for the boiler.
Wait more than 1 minute.
Switch it on.
Turn off the user control knob off (fully anticlockwise). Wait 10 sec or more.
Switch on the control for requesting hot water or heat.
Nothing happens here (wait some seconds), so switch of the control.
Move the knob up to where it was at the beginning (in my case, pointing to the 3rd light).
Switch on the control for requesting hot water or heat.
Now the boiler lights up. If it doesn't, you may want to call the ghostbusters :o)

DISCLAIMER: I guarantee you nothing at all.

Advice: Read the manual, and google your problem.

Uptime of my laptop.

This is the uptime of my work laptop, 88 days.

I put it on standby when I leave work, day after day, every week.

And I keep the many applications I use open all the time, in the 3 desktops.

Nothing crashes or hangs, even after 10, 20, 40, 80 days....

And the best part is that I have the oldest laptop in the floor, which is 5+ years old. Only 2GB RAM.

I only power it off when I go on holidays, so I could say my last holidays were 88 days ago.

Distribution: A branch of Debian.
Laptop: Some Dell
