Ruben on the road. (Chapter II.Pécs)

On Wednesday afternoon I took a train to Szekszard. There I planned to spend

the night and go to Pecs the next morning.

I was on the right train, but not on the right carriage, so finally my travel
ended on Pecs.

When I arrived to Pecs it was raining. It was raining more and more and
I didn't have any idea of where was the street of my friends. On the city I
only found small maps and everybody told me something different about the
location of that street. After 1:40h cycling under the rain I arrived to the
house.

The next day I woke up soon ready to explore all the city during 2 days. What
a surprise... I saw almost all and more in just one day.

Anyway the second day was very interesting and nice. On the end of the
afternoon I cycle up a mountain during almost 1 hour until reach the TV-tower.
Then a big race to the center, fast dinner in a restaurant and running again
to home to go together with my hosting friends to a meeting with others
Volunteers.

After the meeting and some beers -->> Party time!!! I spend my last hours in
Pecs dancing in a latin disco and then on a normal one.

Then go home, pack my things, sleep 1hour and take the train to Budapest and
then to Debrecen.

The return travel was very long, but I was very happy. I did everything I
wanted to do, my camera and usb were full, my bike still working and I
arrived on time to Debrecen. I was feeling like if I was Willy Fog

Ruben on the road. (Chapter I. Budapest)

In 2 and a half days I saw the rest of the things that I didn't see on my
previous visits to the pearl of Danube.

I cycled around the big park behind the "heroes square", the Margit island,
all the Buda side of the Danube,....

I visited the Army and electrotechnique museums, the biggest Synagogue in
Europe, the statues park, S.Esteban basilica, the labyrinth of the castle....

Now I can say that I don't need map to walk on Budapest.

I'll never forget the experience of cycle over the Danube through all his
bridges...

Ruben on the road.

This is the title of a mail that I sent to some friends in Hungary the same day
that I started my 5-days trip around Hungary.

On Monday morning I packed a few things and took a train direction to Budapest
together with my folding bike.

It's not usual on me to do something like this without have everything planned
and fix, but I had to do it soon and it's also true that improvisation don't
scare me.

It was during 5 days because I promissed to Dylan (my french flatmate) that I
would be on Saturday at home to celebrate together his last weekend on
Hungary.

Here I want to thanks to all the people who answered that mail and specially
to those who finally hosted me on their houses.

I had very nice experiences, found new friends on my way, discovered new
places and travel with my bike with a freedom like no other.

With friends.

Many people is leaving and the goodbye parties are everywhere...

One day on the biggest SPA in Europe.

At least is what they say, and I think they are not far from the true. It's
really big.

It is on a small city at 20Km from Debrecen. The city looks very turistic and
as some people told me, on summer is plenty of Germans, Austrians and Polish
people who like to enjoy the relax and the treatments of his mega-SPA.

Well, we went there on the morning and after spend some hours on the
thermal-outside, we went to the Aquatic park (also with thermal water) until
it closed.

Then more baths on the thermals, play some chess, eat and rest under the sun.

At the same time there was an aeroplanes exhibition on the airport of the
city, which is very close to the SPA, so we enjoy the airplanes at the same
time that the aquapark.

Shoulders.

If I have seen farther than others, it is because I was standing on the
shoulders of giants.
-- Isaac Newton

In the sciences, we are now uniquely privileged to sit side by side with
the giants on whose shoulders we stand.
-- Gerald Holton

If I have not seen as far as others, it is because giants were standing on
my shoulders.
-- Hal Abelson

Mathematicians stand on each other's shoulders.
-- Gauss

Mathematicians stand on each other's shoulders while computer scientists
stand on each other's toes.
-- Richard Hamming

It has been said that physicists stand on one another's shoulders. If this is
the case, then programmers stand on one another's toes, and software
engineers dig each other's
graves .
